The best part of cooking isn’t always about the eating. For INMED’s After-School Academic Enrichment program students, it’s about camaraderie, creativity and fun. It’s also about math, chemistry and the feeling of accomplishment. And then there’s the satisfaction of popping that first delectable dough-wrapped piggy into your mouth! Yum!
Thank you, Virginia Regional Transit (VRT), for helping the Opportunity Center provide bus service to children in our After-School Academic Enrichment program. You have been a great community partner! Special thanks to VRT CEO Bruce Simms, VRT Operations Director Phil Thompson and VRT Loudoun Area Transit Manager Eric Levdahl, who recently toured the Opportunity Center to see their ongoing support at work!
We are pleased to welcome our new Administrative Assistant, Jackelyn (Jackey) Mendez. Jackey is fluent in Spanish, active in the community and a savvy social media poster. Look for her updates on Facebook and Twitter!
